AI-powered invoice OCR
beyond text

Not just text recognition — Invinchy understands invoice structure. Get vendor, amounts, dates, and line items extracted and organized automatically.

How it works

Instant results

3-second extraction, not minutes. No queue, no batch processing wait.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from traditional OCR?

Traditional OCR (like Tesseract) converts images to raw text — you still need to figure out which text is the vendor name, which is the total, and where line items begin and end. Invinchy uses Gemini AI to understand document structure, so you get labeled, organized fields directly. It's the difference between getting a wall of text and getting a clean spreadsheet.

What accuracy can I expect?

Invinchy achieves 99% field-level accuracy on English-language invoices with standard layouts. Accuracy may vary on heavily stylized designs or low-resolution scans. All extracted fields are editable before export, so you can verify and correct anything.

Does it work with non-English invoices?

The underlying Gemini AI model supports multiple languages. Extraction works well for invoices in major European languages (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian) and improves continuously. For best results with non-Latin scripts, ensure the document is high-resolution.

How does it handle poor quality scans?

The AI model is robust to common scan artifacts — slight skew, uneven lighting, and moderate blur. For very low quality scans, try uploading a higher resolution version. Phone photos taken in good lighting typically outperform old flatbed scans.

What output format do I get?

You get structured data — not raw text. The output includes labeled fields (vendor, date, total, etc.) and a line items table. You can download as CSV for spreadsheets or JSON for programmatic use. If you need a specific spreadsheet format, see our Invoice to Excel tool.

Is there an API for bulk OCR processing?

Not yet, but an API is on our roadmap. Currently, Invinchy is a free web tool for individual document extraction. For high-volume needs, you can process documents one at a time through the browser. We'll announce API access when it's available.

Files are deleted immediately after extraction. We never store your documents.
